Capveon

Hear about the work before the RFP.

An early signal is something an agency said, planned or paid for before it asked for bids: a council vote, a line in a capital plan, a budget change or a procurement forecast. Capveon reads them and tells you which ones point to your kind of work.

What Signals does

  • From the public record

Meeting agendas, minutes and video, capital improvement plans, budgets and procurement forecasts. That's where agencies decide what to buy, months before they advertise it.

  • Tied to the work it will become

Each signal says what's likely to be bought, roughly when and who's involved, and quotes the sentence it came from.

  • Time to get in early

With a few months' notice you can meet the people writing the scope, line up partners and plan your team before the bid clock starts.

  • Linked to the bid

When the solicitation posts, the signal links to it, so you can see what you knew and when.

Questions

How far ahead do early signals show up?

It depends on the agency and the work. Capital plans often name projects a year or more before they're advertised. A council approving a study or a budget change is usually weeks to months ahead.

Are signals guesses?

No. A signal is something the agency put on the record, quoted and linked. Capveon adds its read on what it's likely to become and whether it fits you.
